A 'SUBJECT' OFSTED INSPECTION
In addition to whole school inspections led by Ofsted the government have recently introduced subject inspections. We were informed that our school was chosen on a randome basis for a PSHE subject inspection which took place in November. We would like to share the report with you.
PSHE - (Personal, Social and Health Education) helps to give children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active, responsible citizens. There are several individual strands within this subject; we were informed that part of our PSHE inspection would be examining how we teach our children to stay safe.
The staff and governors are pleased with the result which agreed with our own evaluation of this subject and identified priorities in order for the school to continue to develop.
