Summertime fun clubs

This summer we were fortunate to be joined by the Adult Education Centre who provided us with four days of entertainment. Families took part in the activities and children of all ages enjoyed themselves and worked in teams supporting the younger children with their work. We would like to thank all of those who took part, especially the Adult Education Centre for supporting our families and the tutors.

Family Fun Day and Bug Hunt;

education

 Lindsey and Sarah provided the activities .

All the activities were educational, looking at the size, age, weight and food chains of creatures and animals. The children took part in a scavenger hunt and explored our local environment to see what we could hear and see at Dover Primary School. The children shared their experiences and wrote stories using some of our findings, which they shared with the group.

 We collected an assortment of material from the field which we used to make animal masks.

 Each family made a bird box which they took home. The school one can be seen on a tree by the pond.

Craft Days;

 We had two exhausting but fun filled days creating pictures and masks with the cirus theme. The children were allowed to experiement and use many different materials and had the freedom to use their hands to create pictures and as you can see they had a wonderful time.

The tutor treated the children to face painting and tried teaching us to juggle!
